What is The Gardman Wall Trough Premium Coco Liner?

Compatible with the Blacksmith premium wall trough, the premium coco liners are used to replace or upgrade the existing or old, worn out and discoloured coco liners that are supplied with the trough. This premium coco liner is an upgraded liner that provides a deeper, thicker lining. It will absorb more water and improve drainage over the standard coco liner.


The premium trough liners are pre-moulded and comprise of long-lasting coco fibres with a latex coating to serve several functions:


  • Act as a barrier to hold your compost
  • Preserve more water than standard coco liners
  • Improved drainage control for better water management
  • Allow longer periods between watering compared to standard liners

Premium coco liners keep the potting compost inside your hanging basket, wall manger or wall trough. A denser coco fibre mat soaks up more water. Coco holds many times its weight in water. Once saturated, the coco liner retains water and drains at a consistent pace. This helps to maintain the best growing conditions for longer periods.


Using readymade soil-perlite mixes or adding perlite to your preferred compost mix provides further water retention. Perlite is a porous, inert volcanic rock acts to hold water for your plant’s roots to access, allowing longer periods between watering.


Garden tip:


  • If you don’t buy a ready-mixed formula, mix perlite to your preferred potting mix so it makes up around 10-50% of the total volume. Add 10-20% perlite if you want better water retention and don't plan on using a lot of extra nutrients.
  • For extra water retention, line the bottom of your trough liner (leaving the sides open) with a couple of lengths cut from used compost bags or similar. Punch drainage holes to avoid waterlogging.

Standard UK mainland orders over £50.00 are eligible for a free standard next working day delivery service (Mon – Fri)*.


  • *Free delivery includes orders up to, and not exceeding, 30kg, that fit in a single, standard shipping box.
  • *Free delivery may exclude orders containing one or more large volume items. Examples of large volume items are, but are not limited to, bags of media (clay balls, perlite, soil etc.).
  • *Free delivery excludes Garden Power Tools.
  • *Large items are sent via a standard 48L (48 hour large) service. Large items take from 2 working days to arrive.

Where possible, orders received by 2:30pm Mon – Fri are dispatched the same day. (*Excluding Garden Power Tools).

Where possible, Garden Power Tool orders are dispatched the same day when received by 11:00am Mon – Fri. Orders after 11:00am are usually dispatched the next working day

As per the Consumer Contract Regulations June 2014, you can return goods and receive a full refund under the following conditions:

  • You have had the goods delivered within seven working days of delivery from Future Garden Ltd, this starts from the day after the goods have been signed for.
  • The items are unopened and in the original condition as when they were delivered to you.

or

  • The items have developed a fault during standard use.
  • The items are within the manufacturer's warranty period.

Simple checks
