What is Gardman Weedstop Performance - Weed Control Fabric?

Gardman Weedstop™ Performance is the ideal solution for multiple weed suppressing tasks including beds, borders, paving and patios. You can also use it under gravel and decorative stone to keep weeds out. This woven weed matting allows water and nutrients to pass through.

Why Do I Need the Gardman Weedstop Performance - Weed Control Fabric?

This 85gsm weed control membrane is great value and is suited to most weed suppressing jobs, such as covering beds and borders to plant through and mulching over the top. It is also great to use under paving and patios to stop any weeds present pushing through. In this case we'd also suggest using a suitable weed killer before you start.

Each roll is 12-metres long by 1-meter and will cover an approximate 3.46 x 3.46 m area.

For heavy-duty jobs, such as driveways or covering problem areas, use Weedstop Ultimate weed control fabric.

How Do I Install Gardman Weedstop Performance - Weed Control Fabric?

To install Gardman Weedstop Performance weed control fabric, you will need pegs, a hammer and scissors. The following process is a guide to aid you when you want to install weed suppressing membrane:

  1. 1. Clear the area of vegetation and weeds.
  2. 2. Roll out enough Weedstop™ fabric to cover the required area and cut to size.
  3. 3. For maximum effect, overlap the Weedstop™ fabric and secure in place with fabric pegs or cover in a bark or other mulch to help keep more light out.
  4. 4. For planting, simply cut a cross section into the Weedstop™ fabric, fold back edges and plant directly into soil.
  5. 5. For landscaping, simply cut to size and lay Weedstop™ fabric, covering the required area, overlapping and pegging for extra protection before placing any materials on top.

Garden Tip:

  • If planting through the weed matting, give your plants the best possible start by mixing in some Miracle Gro all purpose continuous plant food. This all purpose, general plant fertilizer will feed your plants for up to six months - perfect for a whole season. See the product page for more information.

Standard UK mainland orders over £50.00 are eligible for a free standard next working day delivery service (Mon – Fri)*.

  • *Free delivery includes orders up to, and not exceeding, 30kg, that fit in a single, standard shipping box.
  • *Free delivery may exclude orders containing one or more large volume items. Examples of large volume items are, but are not limited to, bags of media (clay balls, perlite, soil etc.).

As per the Consumer Contract Regulations June 2014, you can return goods and receive a full refund under the following conditions:

  • You have had the goods delivered within seven working days of delivery from Future Garden Ltd, this starts from the day after the goods have been signed for.
  • The items are unopened and in the original condition as when they were delivered to you.


  • The items have developed a fault during standard use.
  • The items are within the manufacturer's warranty period.

Simple checks

  • Please ensure that any parcels delivered are intact and free from damage and unopened, if they appear to show any damage please make a note when signing for the goods, alternatively you can refuse delivery of these items, however only full refusal if multiple parcels will be accepted, in the unlikely event this occurs please contact us asap on 020 8502 7722 or by email
