What are the Green Protect Mosquito Trap & Refills?

The Green Protect Mosquito Trap & Refills are perfect for placing on a flat surface.

They work to help keep your home and outside areas free from annoying mosquitos. Effective against many Mosquito species, including yellow fever mosquito’s, Asian tiger mosquitoes and marsh mosquitoes. These traps are designed for use in your home and garden.

The traps feature a dual layered glue screen that works to attract and trap flying insects to disrupt the mosquito’s life cycle. The trap have an up to 80% capture rate.

The traps are reusable and portable. They're easy to use, just add water to create an insecticide free insect trap. Each refill is effective until the screen is full, approx. 150 insects.

These fly traps are eco-friendly, insecticide free monitoring devices.

How Do I use Green Protect Mosquito Trap?

The Mosquito Traps are easy to position and replace anywhere protected from the elements. This includes: your home, conservatories, caravans, outdoor rooms and offices.

The traps contain an eco-friendly, insecticide free attractant that works to attract mosquitoes to land on them and trap them in place. The traps are sticky, and once the annoying "Mozzies" land on them, they can't get off to fly around, biting you.

The Green Protect Mosquito Trap catches a variety of mosquito species without the use of insecticide.

Directions of use:

1. 1. Add water to the trap reservoir and all to the max line. Do not use distilled water (Fig1). Add some grass cuttings to improve catch rates.
2. 2. Carefully open the packaging containing the glue screens.
3. 3. Using your thumb and index finger, hold the side of one of the screens and place it over the top of the trap reservoir (Fig2). Ensure the shorter side which includes drainage is facing down into the trap
4. 4. Attach the protective lid on top of the trap by pressing it into place
5. 5. Position the trap where mosquitoes are present, avoiding areas where children and pets are present. For increased efficacy, position on the ground and remove other water sources.
6. 6. Regularly check the trap to see whether the water requires topping up. To do so, add the water directly through the glue screen.
7. 7. Replace the glue screen when full (approx. 150 insects).

How to replace the glue screen:

1. 1. Discard any water from the trap outdoors. Do not pour into drains or in the toilet.
2. 2. Remove the lid and remove the used glue screen. Avoid touching the glue surface where possible.*
3. 3. Discard the used glue screen in a recycling bin or waste disposal.



*To remove the glue from skin or hair, you can use petroleum jelly or vegetable-based oils to remove the residue.
