The clear, high domed lid allows you to monitor progress. The propagator is designed to retain high levels of humidity inside the unit. If you need to let air around seedlings, propping one corner up will let fresh air in.

Garden tip:

• When sowing seeds, lightly sprinkle your on your compost so they cover the surface and don't overcrowd each other. Sprinkle a thin layer of vermiculite on top, then plunge the tray in a shallow dish of water to soak the compost for around 20 minutes.
