What Are Dripper Stake Irrigation Fittings?

Dripper Stake Irrigation Fittings allow you to apply water and nutrients directly to your plant's base. Using dripper stake irrigation fittings allows you to use a range of methods to accurately feed plants. Irrigation drippers allow you to feed a known volume of nutrient.

Controlling the flow of fluids is a top priority for anyone that wants repeatible results. No matter what you're growing, correct and even distribution of nutrients and water is important.

Each type of dripper has it's own unique function. They range from controllable flow rates, direct, straight-through applications, and dipper line holders to use with compensating drippers.

Dripper Stakes

Dripper Stakes have clips to hold 4 mm dripper line. The end of the dripper line is either left open or terminated with a compensating dripper.

Angled Dripper Stakes?

Angled Dripper Stakes allow you to position the stake at the base of your plant and directly apply a set amount of nutrient based on a set time and pressure applied.

By attaching dripper supply hosing to the nipple on the end of the angled dripper stake, you can apply nutrient solution via a pressurised pump.

Flood Drippers?

If you are using clay pebbles as your medium of choice, or indeed any other substrate that doesn’t hold much moisture such as coco, you should definitely consider using a Flood Dripper. This Flood Dripper is free flowing, meaning however much water your system’s pump is pushing out the dripper will release it evenly throughout your system. Blue stake versions are used to automate feeding when you are growing plants in pots. In many cases a digital timer is used to regulate liquid release, as this dripper can release up to 40 litres per hour. The Blue Flood Dripper is particularly useful when the water flow has undergone some kind of pressure regulation, and also if you have a smaller system where your pressure is anyway likely to be fairly evenly distributed. The dripper is made from robust plastic, making it suitable for commercial growing environments.

  • Free flowing dripper.
  • Releases up to 40 litres per hour.
  • Evenly distributes water.

Octa-Mitter Adjustable Dripper (On Stake)?

The Octa-Mitter Dripper is an adjustable, non-compensated dripper with a stake. To use it simply unscrew the cap one click at a time and this will allow you to adjust the flow. Depending on your requirements, you can vary the flow to between 0 and 40 litres per hour. As this is a simple pin type dripper it is not as sophisticated as the more modern pressure-compensated drippers, so you will have to be vigilant as it may be more prone to blocking. But keep it clear and it will deliver water to your plants effortlessly and with complete reliability. Hydroponic Drip feed systems can be used with an array of hydroponic growing media. They provide one of the best irrigation methods for the novice and professional indoor grower alike. Specialised systems often offer a better option than hand watering and are commonly used with clay pebbles and other substrate that don’t hold much moisture.

  • Delivers water to your plant brilliantly.
  • Can be used with a variety of growing media.
  • Configurable flow varying between 0 and 40 litres per hour.

Arrow Dripper

Arrow drippers are used to automate the feeding of plants if you are growing them in pots or to supplement feeding if you are using one of the various hydroponic systems. To use arrow drippers you will need to create a dripper system using a water pump, supply tube, dripper line and either dripper inserts or a dripper manifold. Arrow drippers do not need enormous amount of pressure, as they do not release very much water and are not designed for high-volume output. So even a relatively modest water pump can run several drippers. The only issue you may encounter is that they will need to be on for quite a few minutes at a time in order to release sufficient water. Due to their restricted output, Arrow Dippers have a tendency to become blocked over time. Therefore, try to check your drippers are working properly on a regular basis, or incorporate an Inline Filter to banish blockages.
