Sulphur Vaporiser
Sulphur burners are often used in commercial greenhouses for control of mildews, botrytis and pests as it acts on a wide range of pests and disease. The method of action is modulation of pH on surfaces to make the environment unfavourable for microbes and insects. You can use a sulphur vaporiser intermittently to prevent an infestation or use it at a higher dose as a treatment. You can use sulphur vapes right up until 3 weeks before harvest but some change in taste may be noticed. Sulphur Vaporiser
Sulphur vapourisers heat sulphur until the sulphur starts to vaporise into the surrounding air. This sulphur then condenses on the leaves, plant parts and grow room equipment in a fine dust - killing bacteria, molds, mildews and insects on contact.
sulphur vapourisers are suitable from spaces larger than 3m3 up to 10m3. - larger spaces may require multiple vapourisers, or more frequent application in different areas. Hang your burner between 2-3ft (0.6-1m) above your canopy to allow for an even spread.
We recommend running your sulphur vaporiser only during the lights off period and for no longer than 4hrs at a time once or twice a week. If you allow your burner to run for longer, new growth may be affected by high sulphur levels.
You should turn off all extraction while running your sulphur burners to avoid immediately expelling the vapour out of your space, giving it time to settle on your plants.
