What is Roundup Lawn Optima?

Roundup® Lawn Optima is a selective weed killer that helps you control most common broad-leaved lawn weeds, without harming the grass. The concentrated formula is suited for anyone wishing to use a glyphosate-free lawn care product. Created to be used on established lawns.

Do I Need Lawncare?

Lawncare is a matter of pride. A beautiful lawn can bring you calmness and happiness. Sitting outside, with a coffee and newspaper, feels better when you're looking over a thick, verdant, healthy looking lawn.

Unsightly weeds compete with your grass for light, moisture and food. They spread out in large ugly patches, acting to smother grass and kill it off. Your lawn looks better with fewer weeds.

Use Roundup Lawn Optima to selectively target and control weeds, such as:

  • Clover
  • Daisy
  • Dandelion
  • Plantain
  • Common Chickweed

When Do I Use Roundup Lawn Optima?

Use between April to September, when the grass is actively growing. Repeat treatments may be required for well established and/or difficult to control weeds.

For the best results:

  • Do not use on newly-sown lawns for at least six months after they're established
  • Do not cut the grass for at least one day
  • Avoid use during times of frost or drought
  • Allow at least 6 weeks between treatments
  • Use a maximum of twice per year

How Do I Use Roundup Lawn Optima?

Use waterproof gloves and footwear to apply this product.

Using Roundup Lawn Optima is simple, the liquid formula easily mixes with water in a sprayer or watering can.

How Do I Prepare Roundup Lawn Optima?

Before you can use this product:

  • Shake well before use
  • Use a clean sprayer/watering can with a fine rose fitted
  • Use the supplied measuring cap to measure a ratio of 50ml in 5 litres of water to cover 25 m2

How Do I Treat Weeds with Roundup Lawn Optima?

To treat lawn weeds:

  • Hold the spray nozzle/watering can rose approximately 50 cm away from the target weed
  • Lightly dampen the foliage and avoid creating run off
  • Wash hands immediately after use

  • Post Weed Killer Treatment Lawn Aftercare

    When you do decide to use a selective weed killer to control your lawn weeds, you'll probably be left with bare patches. To repair these bare patches, you'll need a patch-up lawn care product, like Miracle-Gro Patch Magic. Patching up will regrow your lawn to it's former beauty.

    Repairing Pet Urine Brown Spots In Your Lawn

    Use Miracle-Gro Patch Magic Dog Spot Repair to fix any brown patches from where your pets regularly go to wee. The special formula contains a coir, seeds and added gypsum. Left untreated, high-levels of nitrogen in pet urine kills grass, leaving unsightly brown patches, and stops any newly introduced seeds from taking hold. The coir is perfect for the seeds to germinate in and the added gypsum neutralises the effects of pet wee in the soil.

    Keep out of reach of children. Always read instructions before use. Wash splashes off skin immediately. Keep off skin. Do not breathe spray. Wash hands and exposed skin after use. Keep pets and children off treated areas until it dries off. Only for outside use.

    As per the Consumer Contract Regulations June 2014, you can return goods and receive a full refund under the following conditions:

    • You have had the goods delivered within seven working days of delivery from Future Garden Ltd, this starts from the day after the goods have been signed for.
    • The items are unopened and in the original condition as when they were delivered to you.


    • The items have developed a fault during standard use.
    • The items are within the manufacturer's warranty period.
