The Dutch Pro team have solidified themselves as industry leaders of nutrients for both hydroponic and soil based Feeds. Dutch Pro has specifically tailored their nutrient lines for both soil and hydroponics in order to maintain constant nutritional EC and PH levels. Dutch Pro Hydro line is suitable for use with any hydroponic system, including Coco Coir. The Soil product range is formulated for exclusive use with soil.

Hard or Soft?

Dutch Pro produce their nutrients for both Hard and Soft water; most of the UK has hard water (high levels of calcium and magnesium) but your area may have soft water. You can check this map below as a rough guide to the water hardness in your area.

Two Parts? A+B

Both Grow and Bloom nutrients from the Dutch Pro range contain a 2-part (A+B) mix. When you buy 1L of nutrient, you receive 1L of A and 1L of B. Both Parts (A+B) of the nutrient solution should be mixed in equal parts. A feed schedule should be consulted when mixing these nutrients to get a dilution rate that plants will thrive in. This rate is dependent on what stage in the cycle the plants are in.

The correct order to introduce these feeds into a reservoir is: Part A first, then a thorough mix, let the solution settle, followed by part B, another mix, add any additional enhancers from the range followed by a mix after each. The reservoir should be mixed in between each addition of nutrient.

These instructions are important to follow with all 2 part feeds because if not mixed according to the manufacturer’s instructions, you could end up with a high viscosity clumps, ultimately leading to blocked lines and a reduced efficacy of the product.

Feed Schedules

Dutch Pro recommend a different feed regime depending on your medium. You should use a pipette or syringe to accurately measure the nutrients you are going to add. Make sure you read from the correct table:

Grow Nutrients

Plants have different nutritional requirements depending on their stage of growth. This is why grow and bloom nutrients are different. The Dutch Pro team have formulated specific nutrient ranges for use with different substrates. Dutch Pro’s Soil Grow A+B and Hydro Grow A+B are tailored to have as much nitrogen available to the plants throughout the growth phase allowing for fast structural development of both roots and biomass. Your plants will get as large as you need them as quickly as possible, ready for blossom.

Bloom Nutrients

Soil Bloom A+B and Hydro Bloom A+B contain a lower level of nitrogen than the equivalent grow nutrients whilst Potassium and Phosphorous ratios have increased. This provides the plant with the increased nutritional needs brought about by the development of flowers and fruits. Dutch Pro have formulated a sophisticated blend of micro and macro nutrients to provide copious fruit and blossom of the highest quality.

PH Down

Dutch Pro have created a PH down for both the growth and bloom stages. Allowing the user to correctly balance the acidity of the solution in the reservoir.  In a nutrient solution, PH is extremely important since certain nutrients can be locked out when the PH diverges too much. This will often manifest as a nutrient deficiency when in fact it is a PH issue, which can be easily remedied by adjusting the PH up or down, to between 5.8 – 6.2. The bloom and grow pH downs are formulated from different acids to ensure plant health in whatever phase your plants are in.

Dutch Pro Additional enhancers

Multi-Total

Dutch Pro Multi Total is an Enzyme additive which promotes beneficial bacterial life resulting in the plants increased resistance against fungi and tolerance to stress. It can be added once every two weeks throughout the grow and bloom phase. Suitable for use in both hydroponic systems and soil, Multi Total, like much of the Dutch Pro range will leave no residue build up in any hydroponic irrigation system. When used in soil, Dutch Pro’s Multi Total can improve the structure of the soil by increasing the water retention and carrying capacity.

Leaf Green

Dutch Pro’s Leaf Green contains vital micronutrients to help prevent deficiencies during the growth phase and early in flower. This increases chlorophyll production, keeping leaves green and shiny in order that they photosynthesize as efficiently as possible. When leaves are a dark green the plants metabolic processes are as productive as possible, allowing optimal uptake of nutrients and maximised growth. Perfect for use in both hydroponic systems and soil, this product will leave no residue build up in whichever irrigation system you choose.

Take Root

Dutch Pro’s Take Root is formulated from natural ingredients. It contains plant hormones, micronutrients and auxins that promote cellular division, nutritional transport and cell elongation which aids in nutritional uptake at a cellular level. In this way, a plant can get the best possible start, leading to strong growth and faster root development during vegetative growth. Take root will be completely absorbed leaving no residue. Take Root is suitable for all substrates and should be used only during veg and the first two weeks of flower.

Keep It Clean

Dutch Pro’s Keep It Clean is for use with any irrigation system in order to prevent blockages of feeding lines and drippers. It inhibits the growth of algae, bacterial slime and fungus while being perfectly safe to use while your plants are still in the system. Dutch Pro recommend using it with every reservoir change to provide a long-term preventative against pathogens in the reservoir. This facilitates optimum results in combination with the rest of the nutrient range

Explode

One of Dutch Pro’s bestselling products, Explode, is a Flowering booster that does what it says on the tin. It provides explosive growth late in flower. This can increase the density of your fruit or flower by giving a precious nutrient boost towards the end of a cycle when the plants need it most.
