Gavita 1700e LED Output and efficiency

Operating at 645 watts with an output of 1700 µmol s-1, this fixture achieves an impressive efficacy of 2.6 µmol s-1 per watt, allowing even novice users to realise outstanding yields. Eight passively cooled LED bars provide intense light coverage with no fans or moving parts—significantly reducing the number of possible fail points compared to other fixtures. The ‘Ladder style’ layout of the light bars provide consistent, uniform light levels throughout the light footprint, allowing for even development of plants underneath.

External control

The Pro 1700e LED is compatible with the Gavita Master controllers. We offer an external e-series (Repeater Bus) adapter to which you connect power and control signal. You can daisy chain up to 500 fixtures per controller port with the Gavita Repeater Bus control interface.

As standard, we offer the Gavita Pro 1700e LED Fixture with 3-pin UK 240V plug, but other options can be supplied if you get in touch with us. The cables are connected to the e-series adapter and the fixture with an industrial-grade Wieland connector, preserving the fixtures IP66 rating. IP66 wet rating provides complete protection from dust, oil and water, allowing you to mount this light source in low rooms, on vertical racks, over rolling benches or even in tents, without worry.

Gavita Pro 1700e LED Benefits over other fixtures:

Uniformity:The 8-bar configuration allows you to mount this light source in low rooms, on vertical racks, over rolling benches or even in tents. For maximum uniformity, hang the fixture 24-36 inches from the crop. Each fixture suits a footprint between 120cm2 and 150cm2, so the fixture is perfect for both a 4ft x 4ft or 5ft x 5ft space.

Spectrum: Reliably sourced components including Philips AdvanceDrivers, Samsung white LEDs and Osram deep-red LEDs create improved performance. The Gavita 1700e gently drives LEDs to optimize fixture life and improve spectral output. The 8 passively cooled bars provide full-spectrum, broad-coverage light for full-term growth.

Cool Running: Suitable for hot environments and rooms that run through summer, The Gavita 1700e LED produces a lot less heat than traditional fixtures, allowing closer placement to the canopy and reduced HVAC requirement (30-40% less).

Maintenance and electrical costs: While the fixture represents a much larger initial investment than traditional fixtures, the higher efficiency means you’re producing much more umols of light per watt used, so you recuperate the purchase cost over time due to the savings on electricity. LED’s require a lot less maintenance, as unlike other options, lamps do not need to be swapped out to maintain efficiency, leading to less hassle for the gardener and no cost to keep it running as you don’t need to replace lamps.
