Water pumps are essential in all active hydroponic systems - they keep the water running over your plants roots so they don’t dry out. Pumps can also save you time as if you're moving water from your tap or reservoir you won't have to keep pouring small buckets. Use of a pump will save you time and effort every tank change. Water Pumps
All of the hydroponic systems we supply use water pumps to deliver nutrient solution to plants - whatever system you use or choose, if the pump fails, the clock starts counting down to the death of your plants - while you can physically start pouring the nutrient, We find that many gardeners keep a spare replacement pump in or around their garden so in the event of a failure, there will be no downtime except the time it takes to swap out the parts.
When using your pump, make sure you clean the filter on it regularly as it will help prolong the life of the pump as well as keeping the output of the pump as high as possible. Small particles or algae growth can clog the internal impellers over time, stopping the unit from working as effectively.
If you’re unsure of the best water pump for your system type or plant requirements, email us or call our specialist team on 0800 085 7995, who can advise you on the best range for your plant type and budget.
