What is The Super Lumen 600W HPS Digital Light Kit?
The Super Lumen 600W HPS Digital Light Kit comes with everything you need to get the biggest yields and flowers possible. Perfect for use in a 1.2 x 1.2m area, and offers growers an affordable lighting system without compromising on performance. It is also well-suited to larger operations that are looking to expand on a budget.
NOTE: If you don't already have suitable hangers, you'll need to add some to your order.
For electrical safety, we recommend using your lights with a suitable contactor. Contactors work to handle the initial power surge at lights on. They also control the on/off switching of the light fixture using professional Grasslin timers. Depending on the contactor, they can activate a heater to help avoid issues with heat stress and condensation or provide power for extraction fans.
What Do I Get With The Super Lumen 600W HPS Digital Light Kit?
The Kit includes 3 items; A Super Lumen 600W Reflector, a Super Lumen 600W HPS Pro Lamp and Super Lumens own 600W Digital Ballast.
Super Lumen 600W Reflector
The Super Lumen 600W Reflector is simple yet effective. This is due to the highly reflective material and dimpled design that helps disburse light more evenly and efficiently over your plants. The Reflector is also lightweight enabling for easy set up in your grow tent.
Super Lumen 600W HPS Pro Lamp
The Super Lumen 600W HPS Pro Lamp ( High-Pressure-Sodium) has a clear outer bulb and is optimized for grow light output and maintenance. The Super Lumen 600W HPS Pro lamp also produces dual spectrum light. This means it can provide your plants with both red and blue light from the same bulb, covering all ends of the spectrum and giving all the types of light your plant needs for strong, rapid development throughout the vegetative and flowering/fruiting stages.
CAUTION: Never run a bulb at a higher wattage than it’s been designed for. It may explode, with potential for personal injury.
To elongate the life of your bulb, wear gloves to avoid hotspots. Hotspots occur when you handle the bulb without gloves on and transfer dirt and grease from your hands to the bulb.
Super Lumen 600W Digital Ballast
The Super Lumen 600W Digital Ballast is perfect for powering the supplied 600W HPS Pro Lamp. The Super Lumen 600W Digital Ballast provides four different output levels that can be switched depending on how powerful you want your set-up to be.(250W,400W,600W & SUPER LUMEN mode which is 600W + 10%). The Super Lumen 600W Digital Ballast is IP65 rated meaning it is water, dust, and moisture-proof. It’s also fan-less, further preventing dust & moisture into the housing when in your grow tent. The Super Lumen 600W Digital Ballast also comes with a 220V-240V 2M Power cord, the wires on the ballast run at much lower temperatures than competitor brands. We produced a test in comparison, with the competitor brand’s ballast running at 60.2 Celsius and our ballast running at a much lower 36.9 Celsius.
What is the Benefit of Digital versus Magnetic Ballasts?
Digital ballasts offer many benefits over their magnetic counterparts. The newer technology is lighter, operates quieter and cooler, prolongs the life of your bulb through soft-start and surge protection. A major benefit of digital ballasts is their adjustable nature. Digital ballasts also allow you to run different wattage lamps, as long as they are within the ballasts capability.
How Do I Set Up My Super Lumen 600W HPS Digital Light Kit?
To set up your digital light kit:
- 1. Remove protective plastic layers from the reflector before you operate any lights.
- 2. Hang the reflector using suitable hangers.
- 3. Wearing suitable gloves, fit the lamp into the reflector.
- 4. Connect the lamp lead to the ballast and connect the ballast to a mains outlet, and you’re ready to go.
To maintain consistent results, change your bulbs in 4 – 6-month intervals or once every complete cycle to keep light output as high as possible.
CAUTION: For safety reasons, we recommend situating your digital ballast outside your grow room.
Where possible, situate electrical items above waist level to reduce the chances of water coming into contact with them. If you’re situating the ballast in your room, place them high enough to reduce the risk of water coming into contact with them.

As per the Consumer Contract Regulations June 2014, you can return goods and receive a full refund under the following conditions:
- You have had the goods delivered within seven working days of delivery from Future Garden Ltd, this starts from the day after the goods have been signed for.
- The items are unopened and in the original condition as when they were delivered to you.
or
- The items have developed a fault during standard use.
- The items are within the manufacturer's warranty period.
