What is the TrolMaster Temperature Device Station (DST-2)?

 

The TrolMaster DST-2 Temperature Device Station allows you to easily connect and control your heating and cooling devices to your Hydro-X system. The DST-2 can manage any heating or cooling device that operates up to a maximum of 10A at 240 volts. The Temperature Device Station takes commands from the TrolMaster Hydro-X controller and Three-in-One sensor allowing you to connect and control compatible heating and cooling devices. 



What are the Features and Benefits of the TrolMaster Temperature Device Station?

 

The DST-2 Temperature Device Station uses a UK 3-pin plug to take power and control your heating or cooling equipment. An LED indicator shows the unit’s power and communication status. Control is achieved by the controller communicating via the RJ12 cable. The DST-2 Temperature Device Station is simple to connect to the TrolMaster network with a single button. The unit is Plug & Play with everything you need to get going straight away, including:

  • 1 x 16ft RJ12 Cable
  • 1 x 4ft RJ12 Cable
  • 1 x RJ12 T-Splitter

 

How Does the TrolMaster Temperature Station work?

 

When connected to the TrolMaster Hydro-X Controller, the Trolmaster DST-2 Temperature Device Station LED status indicator tells you all you need to know.

Blinking Green FAST

If the LED indicator blinks quickly, the module isn’t addressed to the controller or doesn’t have sufficient connection to the Hydro-X controller. 

Blinking Green SLOW

If the LED indicator is blinking green slowly, the module is addressed and connected to the controller, but the controller is currently powered OFF.

Solid Green

If the LED is solid green, the module has a network address and is connected to the controller. And the Hydro-X controller is currently powered ON.

Blinking Red

If you see the LED change to blinking red, that means the module is overloaded. To reset the overload, unplug the module from the power and investigate the cause of the overload.

 

Why is it Important to Control the Temperature in the Grow Room?

 

Grow room temperature control gives you probably the single most significant advantage to successfully grow indoors. It helps produce consistent results from your crops with predictable schedules. The ability to control temperature indoors allows you to set the ideal “weather conditions”. Growing inside means you’re not subject to external forces like conventional farmers.

 

Like humidity, temperature is crucial for plant metabolism. Too low, and they will not grow. Too high, and they will dry out very quickly. Many factors can affect temperature. Examples include the intensity of the heat your lights give off, the strength of your air conditioner and the construction of your grow room. 

 

What is the Perfect Temperature Range in the Grow Room?

 

Every species of plant prefers a specific temperature. The essential thing is to keep the temperature in your grow room from changing too much. During hours of light, stick to between 25°C-30°C, depending on the light output of your lamp. During the dark hours, you can allow this to drop to around 20°C. 

 

Consistent Temperature Give The Best Results

For the best results growing plants indoors, make sure the temperature differences between night and day are as minor as possible. 

 

If the difference between night and day temperatures is too wide, or the nighttime temperatures drop too low, your plant will probably struggle. In this case, there is also a more substantial chance that mildew will start forming.

  • You have had the goods delivered within seven working days of delivery from Future Garden Ltd, this starts from the day after the goods have been signed for.
  • The items are unopened and in the original condition as when they were delivered to you.

  • The items have developed a fault during standard use.
  • The items are within the manufacturer's warranty period.
