What is the TrolMaster SPH-1 RJ12 Splitter Hub?

The TrolMaster RJ12 Splitter Hub makes installing any TrolMaster controller as straightforward as plugging in a telephone line. The SPH-1 Splitter Hub uses a single RJ12 cable input jack and provides up to 8x outputs.


The SPH-1 Splitter Hub uses eight individual RJ12 output jacks. The jacks connect to compatible TrolMaster sensors, adapters, and device modules.


Using the SPH-1 allows for straight forward installations and makes it easy to expand your TrolMaster system. Splitter Hubs eliminate the need for daisy-chain Y-splitters to interconnect multiple modules or sensors.


What are the Features and Benefits of the TrolMaster RJ12 Splitter Hub?

The TrolMaster RJ12 Splitter Hub is a simple, plug & play device. It only requires fitting in place, a power connection and connecting to the Hydro-X Controller and sensors or other compatible devices in the system. The simple LED indicator shows you the current operating status.


The TrolMaster SPH-1 Splitter Hub is plug & play and comes with everything you need to get going straight away, including:


  • 1x RJ12 Splitter Hub
  • 1x 12V Power Adapter
  • 1x 4 ft RJ12 Cable

How Does the TrolMaster RJ12 Splitter Hub Work?

The SPH-1 comprises the following:

  • SPH-1 Splitter Hub
  • 16-foot RJ12 cable
  • 12vdc power supply

The SPH-1 is also a powered hub. A powered hub works to amplify the signals that pass through the SPH-1. Being a powered signal repeater allows more modules, sensors, and light adapters to be connected to the TrolMaster controllers. 


Using SPH-1 Splitter Hubs allows you to control an unlimited number of LED / HID lights from a single TrolMaster controller.


The SPH-1 can be added in a primary location with a single RJ12 cable connecting it to the HCS-1 controller. Using the SPH-1’s individual RJ12 jacks, you can connect to individual sensors, device modules, or lighting adapters, even another SPH-1 to give you another 8x network connection points for more equipment. 


Garden tip: If you use the SPH-1 to connect your lighting system back to a single LMA adapter (except for LMA-T and ThinkGrow light system) DO NOT connect the 12V DC power supply to the SPH-1.


What Additional Sensors and Adaptors can I attach to the Hydro-X using the TrolMaster RJ12 Splitter Hub?

The Hydro-X system comes with a built-in 3-in-1 sensor that detects temperature, humidity, and light. The system works to alert you via the TrolMaster Smartphone App when any of these factors drift out of your pre-set.


Optional accessories are available to purchase to improve your growing experience. Use one or more RJ12 Splitter Hubs for a networked system.


Additional Sensors Include:


  • CO2 Sensor – to monitor CO2 levels within your grow room.
  • Water Sensor- to notify you of any potentially disastrous grow room leaks or floods via the app within a minute.
  • Smoke Detector - alert you via the app if the unthinkable happens, and a fire starts. 
  • PAR sensor - to optimise the amount of "useful" light your plant receives. 
  • Light Adaptor - to allows the Hydro-X to control lights using their low-volt control option.
  • Device Stations – for temperature, humidity and CO2 that enable users to connect additional climate control equipment easily.

Standard UK mainland orders over £50.00 are eligible for a free standard next working day delivery service (Mon – Fri)*.


  • *Free delivery includes orders up to, and not exceeding, 30kg, that fit in a single, standard shipping box.
  • *Free delivery may exclude orders containing one or more large volume items. Examples of large volume items are, but are not limited to, bags of media (clay balls, perlite, soil etc.).
  • *Free delivery excludes Garden Power Tools.
  • *Large items are sent via a standard 48L (48 hour large) service. Large items take from 2 working days to arrive.

Where possible, orders received by 2:30pm Mon – Fri are dispatched the same day. (*Excluding Garden Power Tools).

Where possible, Garden Power Tool orders are dispatched the same day when received by 11:00am Mon – Fri. Orders after 11:00am are usually dispatched the next working day

As per the Consumer Contract Regulations June 2014, you can return goods and receive a full refund under the following conditions:

  • You have had the goods delivered within seven working days of delivery from Future Garden Ltd, this starts from the day after the goods have been signed for.
  • The items are unopened and in the original condition as when they were delivered to you.

  • The items have developed a fault during standard use.
  • The items are within the manufacturer's warranty period.
