WHAT ARE THOMPSON AND MORGAN THOMPSON TOMATO SWEET SUCCESS F1 HYBRID SEEDS?
Tomato 'Sweet Success' is a rich and heavy-cropping variety with exceptional disease resistance, so you can be sure of reaping a bountiful crop! These bite-sized cherry tomatoes will burst from ample trusses all summer long. ‘Sweet Success’ is an excellent variety for resisting wilt and virus, making it an ideal choice for the home grower. The sweet, delicious fruits can weigh up to 22g each. This cordon will give you the best results outdoors in the greenhouse or in a sunny, sheltered location. Heights will reach 2-metres (79") with a spread of 50 cm (20").
Garden tip: Great for companion planting. Try growing tomatoes with French marigolds, basil, chives or mint to pests such as aphids and whitefly.
HOW DO I SOW THOMPSON & MORGAN THOMPSON TOMATO SWEET SUCCESS F1 HYBRID
For greenhouse cultivation: sow from February to March. For outdoor cultivation: sow from March to April.
- Sow seeds on the surface of a good, free-draining, damp, seed compost and cover with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite.
- Place seed trays in a propagator at a constant temperature of around 15-20C (59-68F) until germination occurs. This should take 7-14 days.
- When seedlings gain 2 true leaves, transplant into individual 7.5cm (3") pots of compost and grow on at a minimum temperature of 15C (59F).
- Gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 - 10 days before planting out from early June when tomato plants are 20cm (8") tall.
- Choose a sheltered position in full sun on fertile, reliably moist, well-drained soil, and transplant at 60cm (24") apart.
- Drive a (5') cane into the soil adjacent to each plant to support them as they grow and tie each main stem to its support with soft garden twine.
Garden Tip: Tomato plants need a lot of water and feed to produce a bountiful crop. For best results you should water little and often. One good idea is to leave a few watering cans full of water to warm up in the greenhouse, so the water is not so cold that it shocks your plants.
Garden Tip: It has been said that watering your tomatoes at the same time each day makes a significant difference to the quality of the crop! Feed your tomatoes with a general feed until the first truss has formed, then alternate with a high potash feed to encourage bigger and better fruits.

- You have had the goods delivered within seven working days of delivery from Future Garden Ltd, this starts from the day after the goods have been signed for.
- The items are unopened and in the original condition as when they were delivered to you.

- The items have developed a fault during standard use.
- The items are within the manufacturer's warranty period.
