What is the TrolMaster Water Detector (WD-2)?

The TrolMaster Water Detector (WD-2) is an electronic device specially designed to detect the presence of water. If the Water Detector sensor detects water, it uses the TrolMaster App to provide you with an early alert. The water detector works as an early alert system to  prevent excess damage from water leaks. The sensor works best when it’s positioned on the floor of your grow room.


What Are The Features and Benefits of the TrolMaster Water Detector 2

Simple Network Connection

Connecting the TrolMaster Water Detector to the TrolMaster Hydro-X Controller is easy. Simply pressing the Address button on the WD-2 unit signals to the controller to assign up to 5x WD-2 units an address to the TrolMaster network. 


LCD Display For Easy Operation

The Water Detector use an LCD screen to display a triangle symbol indicating that water leak detection is the default function. The number inside the triangle directs you to the water detectors' connection sequence (from 1 to 8). 


Plug and Play Right From the Box

The TrolMaster Water Detector comes with everything you need to get up and running, right out of the box. This includes.

  • 1 x 16ft RJ12 Cable

Water Leak Alarm

When the WD-2 detects a leak, it sends an alert to your Smartphone within a minute. The TrolMaster Hydro-X controller sends alerts via the TrolMaster App. An alert notification also displays on the Hydro-X Controller.


How Does the TrolMaster Water Detector 2 Work?

For the best performance, mount the Water Detector on the wall near the water reservoir or nutrient tank. Place the sensor at floor level, or wherever you want to monitor for water leaks.


The TrolMaster Hydro-X controller accepts up to 5x Water detectors.


The Hydro-X controller connects to the Water Detector via an RJ12 cable. 


Garden tip: A WD-2 Water Detector can be used with more than one water detector (one-touch spot water detectors). The additional water detectors are available as after sale products. They allow you to use multiple sensors with a single WD-2 unit. You can also use an RJ12 T-Splitter to connect more han one Water Detector to cover a larger area.


When the Water Detector (WD-2) is connected to the Hydro-X controller, and the touch spot sensor is in place, the Hydro-X Controller sends an alarm message to your Smartphone if it detects a water leak. You can also check the alarm messages on the Alarm Message page of the Hydro-X.


Garden tip: Up to 8x water detectors for each system can be linked together in a "daisy chain. This will expand the leak detection monitoring area.

  • You have had the goods delivered within seven working days of delivery from Future Garden Ltd, this starts from the day after the goods have been signed for.
  • The items are unopened and in the original condition as when they were delivered to you.

  • The items have developed a fault during standard use.
  • The items are within the manufacturer's warranty period.
